✓ Reduces hair thinning

You’ve probably seen the late night infomercials from Bosley.

Bosley Medical, has been known for showing great hair transplant results in both men and women. They also have many locations all over the US from San Francisco and San Diego to Dallas. But did you know they also make other Bosley products, including shampoos, conditioners and thickeners?

In this review, we will talk about Bosley hair shampoo and how it can help with preventing hair loss

Bos-Revive: Bosley shampoo review

What products do they offer for thinning hair: The brand offers two versions of hair loss / hair thickening shampoos (also known as the Bos-Revive Line):

  • Nourishing shampoo for non-color treated hair
  • Nourishing shampoo for color treated hair

Both are formulated to block DHT formation around hair follicles for people with visibly thinning hair. For DHT elimination, both Bos Revive shampoos contain something called LifeXtend Complex.

According to Bosley, the LifeXtend Complex uses a combination of natural hair growth ingredients, including saw palmetto. It is formulated to strengthen and fortify existing hair follicles for thicker-looking hair. Also, it claims it hydrates the scalp and hair strands simultaneously according.

How well does Bosley shampoo work for thinning hair?

Here are some highlights of Bosley shampoo reviews from actual users.

Bosley hair shampoo and conditioner will likely make your scalp tingle

This is similar to the Nioxin shampoo. Both Nioxin and Bosley products give tingling sensation when you rub the liquid onto your scalp. Reviewers say that the conditioner usually tingles longer than the shampoo.

It’s not the best hydrator

Even though the official bosley site states that their shampoos will provide good hydration, many people say that the shampoo made their hair feel a bit dry.

It indeed provides fuller-looking hair

People (mostly women) with fine or thin hair who used Bosley Revive often mention that the shampoo make their hair feel and look fuller. But many of those reviewers also seem too use Bosley’s thickening treatment (one of Bosley’s 3-step hair care solutions).

It’s reasonably priced

A majority of hair thinning shampoos usually cost $30+ or sometimes much more for 8 oz. But the Bosley shampoo costs just under $40 for 33.8 oz, which seem pretty decent, as it will last you for at least several months.

    • Hi,

I used a google translater to answer your question 🙂
Alopecia Areata is due to autoimmune disease and to be honest, I don’t think there are any shampoos in the market that cure Aloepcia Areata at the moment.

However, here is a helpful article about available Alopecia Areata treatments from National AA foundation:

One of my recommendations based on the above link is to try Minoxidil to the bald spot areas for at least 3-4 months. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any additional questions.

  1. Love the Bosley shampoo and conditioner. After having my last child my hair feel out. I started using the Bosley and my hair stopped falling out and grew back in

  2. I really love regular Bosley shampoo. I do not like the new Bosley MD. It does not leave a clean feel after you rinse. It is heavy and weighs hair down. What have you done to this shampoo. I can’t find regular Bosley for color treated hair. What is going on?????
