lipogaine big 3 shampooI noticed not many people talk about the Big 3 Shampoo by Lipogaine. If this is the first time you’ve heard of this brand, it’s no surprise. Lipogaine offers different types of hair loss products.

I’ve become more interested in their products after finding out more about the ingredients they use; I think the brand offers great quality and value for the money.

If you are looking for Minoxidil products, click here to read my detailed Lipogaine reviews for their version of the Minoxidil product (It’s definitely an upgrade from Rogaine). In this Lipogaine review, I will talk about their Big 3 Shampoo and how it can help people with hair loss:

Lipogaine shampoo is designed for people with thinning hair or hair loss by preventing the formation of DHT in the scalp.

Some of the Powerful Ingredient Highlights:

Also known as Keto, this is an effective ingredient for preventing fungus growth on the scalp. Some hair loss is caused by fungal infections (such as ringworm, folliculitis, etc) on the scalp. Using Ketoconazole topically (usually 2% of Keto is contained in a shampoo), you can eliminate this issue. Most dandruff shampoos you see also include Ketoconazole as the active ingredient since it effectively removes dandruff.

Emu Oil:

Emu oil is known to stimulate frontal hair growth. Based on the research done by Dr. Michael Hollik, he found out that topical application of emu oil helps with reawakening dormant hair follicles (Click through here to read more details about the research and find out how to use it on your own hair).

This is a newer trend for companies to include biotin in shampoos. Biotin is an essential vitamin for keeping healthy hair follicles.

Saw Palmetto:

A Natural herb known for inhibiting DHT formation around the follicles

Red Clover Extract:

Known to stimulate the blood flow inside the scalp which, in turn, promotes hair growth

Sulfate Free Formula (not an ingredient):

The Lipogaine Big 3 hair loss shampoo removed harsh chemicals from their formula (which is something I expect from hair loss shampoos).

Other hair growth focused ingredients include the following: Nettle extract, castor oil, zinc

  • Water, Alkyl Sulfonate, Polyglucose, Glycostearate, Wheat Proteins, Cocoamidopropyl Betain, Carbomer, Citric Acid, ketoconazole, Saw Palmetto, Copper Tripeptides, Niacin, Biotin, Glycerin, PEG-150, Distearate, Emu Oil, Polyquart-10, Provitamin B5, Vitamin-B6, Red Clover Extract, Nettle Extract, Caster Oil, Essential Oil, Zinc Oxide, Phenoxyethanaol, Peppermint, Polysorbate-20

The shampoo is packed with hair growth stimulating ingredients (minus chemicals… making it more appealing). I haven’t personally tried their shampoo yet, but it is on my to-buy list since their formula sounds solid and has a high potential for good results.
